Outside Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Outside Sales Representative DEPARTMENT: Sales Team SUMMARY: Responsible for outside sales duties to both existing and potential customers DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Makes outbound lead follows-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
• Builds and maintains customers’ relationships.
• Prepares reports of business transactions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Sales Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience building business relationships • High level of motivation • Acute attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• MUST be personable, naturally empathetic and relatable and have the gift of gab • Preferred: o basic understanding of manufacturing o basic understanding of machining and fabrication terminology and processes o ability to read basic prints o basic understanding of the metal industry · High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
