We are seeking a Festival Specialist for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

We seek an individual who can bring the vision of the resorts to life.
The right Festival Specialist checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Participate in event setup and tear down activities to include, but not limited to assembly, disassembly, transport and/or installation and storage of displays, décor, and event facilities Assist in production and installation of décor and atmosphere elements as assigned Follow established festival icon and light installation procedures as needed Work a varied schedule with flexible scheduling and open availability Perform other duties as requested Assist with event operations as required Keep work areas orderly, neat, safe, and well-maintained including equipment and décor items Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work Must be self-motivated and disciplined Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information Must display and live out Lead with Love qualities by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable Must be committed to continuous improvement Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene Must promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers Must adapt to changes easily Must enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment Must show appreciation to others Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelines Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills Must reflect Dollywood’s core values through the lens of dignity and respect Must work well with minimum supervision Must be open to new ideas and technology Must be able to follow directions Must have good work and housekeeping practices Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations and when working on project with time restrictions and tight deadlines.
Able to display and live out our Lead with Love principles, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, and dedicated Able to endure temperatures of -5 to 140 degrees Able to work outdoors Able to bend, twist, turn, stoop and crawl to complete all job functions Able to smile and make eye contact to make a friendly impression when greeting guests, vendors and other employees Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties Able to maintain good personal hygiene Able to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts Able to comprehend instructions and retain information Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time Able to lift 50 pounds Able to endure heights up to 80 feet Able to work in and around water Able to push/pull to complete all job functions Able to frequently ascend and descend ladders Able to positively handle stress Able to see in daylight and night conditions, have depth perception, color vision Able and willing to work in adverse climate Able to operate a number of different motor vehicles (car, truck, van, golf carts, parade floats) and possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance Able to operate power and hand tools including, but not limited to drills, screw gun, staple gun, hammer and other tools Able to tolerate noise Able to perform tasks such as sweeping, raking, and shoveling Able to move about and react quickly in emergency situations Able to perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience Required Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in decorating, visual merchandising, and display assemblage preferred Preferred experience operating large machines including crane, lift etc Able to operate different types of vehicles (car, truck, van, golf cart) Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and background check The Dollywood Company is an equal opportunity employer.
