TITLE Supervisor – Die Maintenance COMPANY JTEKT Automotive North America DEPARTMENT Die Cast Engineering Support LOCATION Morristown, TN CLASSIFICATION Salaried Exempt REPORTS TO Manager – Die Cast Engineering GRADE 5 or 6 based on exp.
Summary/Purpose The primarily responsible for supervision and direction for the Die Maintenance employees.
First Responder.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities: • Supervises Die Maintenance Department.
• Continuously improves Die Maintenance processes.
• Provides leadership to resolve die/jig related casting quality issues and improvement.
• Follow-up production data and equipment condition.
• Assures Die Status Board/Schedule is accurate and end of shift TL data entered accurately.
• Attend improvement meetings – Kaizen activity.
• Organizes daily activity of department – set priority.
• Reviews member advancement and holds members accountable to meet targets and goals.
• Prepares and follows-up training schedules.
• Assists DC Engineering Supervisor with vacation and shutdown schedules for die casting production department.
• Maintains DC supplies and ingot deliveries to meet production schedules.
• Manages monthly Die Maintenance Department budget to actual.
• Coordinates activity in Die Maintenance department prior to TS16949 and ISO 14001 audits.
• Sets 6S standard for Die Maintenance department.
• Attends monthly budget, operational and QA meetings as requested by Manager.
• Follows-up progress on operational plan activities.
• Leads and participates in QC circle and activities, as requested.
• Performs duties of Die Casting Production Supervisor in relief.
• Must complete First Responder Training (including First Aid, CPR and Blood-borne Pathogens).
• Other jobs as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience: • Minimum two year Associate degree with a minimum 4 years’ experience in job related field or 6 years proven experience in job related field in leadership role.
