The Warranty Manager will be responsible for directing the functions of the warranty department.
In this position the Warranty Manager will work directly with customers to diagnose problems with their trucks, provide technical support, and help facilitate any repairs.
This position requires strong communication skills both internally and externally with customers and suppliers.
Essential Functions and Activities: • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures necessary to facilitate the warranty functions.
• Manage daily operations of warranty to ensure the highest level of customer service, while addressing issues quickly and professionally.
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues for customers’ products.
• Manage internal process for each claim from set-up to completion.
• Recommend best practices, improvements for production, performance, quality and safety related to customer warranty.
• Provide reporting to appropriate departments as necessary.
• Actively communicate with dealers, resolve disputes, and document change orders.
• Monitor workflow to ensure all requirements are met (documents completed accurately/completely) and documents are distributed to appropriate parties.
• Reporting of Tread Act information to NHTSA • Ability to travel as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • 5 years’ experience in a Warranty Role preferred.
(Experience with truck body would be an asset).
• Excellent computer skills, including MS office.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, multi-task, work independently and make informed/correct decisions using best quality practices.
• Experience with JDE • Experience with NHTSA requirements
