WestRock in Knoxville, TN is looking for an Industrial Electronics Technician for 12-hour, night shift schedule.
Pay is based on experience.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Performs electronic and mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in an efficient and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems up to 480 volts.
* Interpret electrical publications such as schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair machine controls including components such as relays, sensors, switches, motors, PCBs and PLCs.
* Replace and calibrate electronic devices.
* Troubleshoot/repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems including valves, compressors, pumps and blowers.
* Perform predictive maintenance on high impact assets, including the use of infrared cameras, vibrational and ultrasonic test equipment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems and make repairs as needed.
* Perform basic cutting and welding to fabricate items such as guardrails, brackets, and hangers.
* Use a multimeter and/or other specialized tools to measuring electrical systems.
* Use scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.
* Safely operate shop equipment such as grinders, drill presses, and saws.
* Bend conduit and pull wire.
* Operate scissor, boom and Fork-Lifts.
* Maintain accurate records using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Support various recycling programs such as light bulbs, batteries and metals.
* Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have high school diploma or G.
E.
D.
* Training, certification, or a degree in electrical technology is a PLUS
* Must be able to properly use scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
* Must have working knowledge of electronic devices such as reversing motor starters, PLCs and various sensors.
* Must be trained in basic electrical and mechanical safety.
* Must have sufficient aptitude for computer software such as outlook, excel and word.
* Must have the ability to read schematics, prints, ladder diagrams, and drawings.
* Must have knowledge of and ability to interpret national electrical code and NFPA 70E.
* Must be able to maintain good attendance.
* Must be willing to work every other weekend.
