We are seeking one or more production operators for our Knoxville, TN manufacturing facility.
As a growing firearms component company, the candidate will be tasked with operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and keeping a clean organized workplace.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines that require high skill to set up and operate.
(2-axis and multi-axis) ( Swiss, DMG, Okuma, Takisawa, Brother, Haas etc.
) Working with blueprints, operation sheets, travelers or other specifications, set-ups and completes the machining operations to produce a quality part.
Responsible for generating and checking part dimensions during various machining stages with complex measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and special purpose gages.
Required to perform precise indicating on parts where true indicator reading (TIR) Responsible for achieving all required tolerances and finishes that will produce quality parts in a timely manner and for meeting standards as set forth by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Must adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and all Quality requirements.
Verify and record actual part count, both prior to and upon completion of all work Perform visual inspections (part relationship to operation sheet/blueprint configuration) on all parts produced and performs actual dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the department or the Quality Assurance Department.
Enters all work performed into the database and documents all scrap.
Notifies leadperson or supervisor of any parts shortages or machining problems/difficulties.

Job Type: Full-time in an air-conditioned plant Currently working 4 days x 10 hrs.
per day, plus overtime.
