*_ Job Description for Landscape Maintenance Foreman *What to expect starting out*: At first there will be a training period for 30 days.
For the first month or so the training will entail working alongside other project managers to learn how Seeds operates, the different systems in place and the folks on the crews.
During this time, take advantage and learn as much as you can, particularly in the areas of outdoor construction that you are not as familiar with.
This is also the time that you will earn the respect of the men that you will eventually be leading on jobsites.
From here you will step into the role of Landscape Maintenance Foreman as detailed below.
*Mission for Landscape Maintenance Foreman:* To successfully lead a team in the professional execution of outdoor construction and landscape projects in order to bring the customers' dream outdoor living space to life.
*Functions and duties:* Landscape Maintenance Management Manage and facilitate landscape maintenance/ enhancement projects from start to finish.
Project scopes vary but will most likely include a combination of the following: plant installations, mulching, trimming, pruning, brush removal, annual installations, grading and sodding, hydroseeding etc.
It is okay if you do not have experience in one or multiple of these areas landscape maintenance, we have specialized crews that can help train you in these areas; however, we expect you to have a humble and trainable attitude.
Budgets: As a Landscape Maintenance Foremen it is your responsibility to ensure that material and labor budgets are maintained and budget reports are reported back to the GM/PM daily.
If for any reason a project budget is not able to be maintained, approval from the GM/PM must be obtained before moving forward.
Management and maintenance of the equipment and trucks assigned to you in a manner that you would care for them if you were making the payments.
These machines allow you and your team to work effectively and efficiently, we expect you to treat them with the utmost care.
*Communication* Communicate with your team.
You will have a team of 3-4 that you work directly with.
The experience levels of each team member will vary greatly.
We expect you to train your team to work effectively together and to communicate in a Christ-honoring manner.
As the Foreman, you will be held accountable for the actions of your team members.
You are responsible to ensure that your team knows exactly what is happening on the job-site and what is expected of them.
Communicate with Senior Leadership: Changes will occur on the job site and with your crew.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the Senior manager assigned to the client is communicated with and knows what is going on.
You are expected to maintain accurate production sheets and job records including but not limited to; labor hours, expenses, truck records etc.
These reports are to be reported back to the General Manager on a daily basis.
As changes occur in the project, it is expected that you communicate with the Designer to ensure that the correct course of action is taken to resolve the issue.
Communication with the Customer: We strive to provide the customer with an excellent experience throughout the entire process.
It starts with our design and sales staff, but is completed with you.
We expect you to communicate with the customer in a professional manner on project details regularly throughout the installation of the project.
When issues or change orders arise, effective communication between senior leadership and the customer is expected before engaging with the customer.
*Qualifications:* Industry knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: plant installations and horticulture, brush removal, grading, sodding, hydro-seeding, mulching, trimming and pruning practices.

*Compensation:* Varies based on cultural fit, abilities, and experience; ranges from $18-$25/hour.
