The Manufacturing Supervisor at Aqua-Chem directly supervises production hourly employees in the manufacturing area in such a manner that approved quality products are manufactured and/or delivered on schedule and within prescribed specifications and cost requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2nd Shift; 4:30pm - 3:00am EST
Location: On-site; Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties
Provide strong leadership to meet or exceed daily and monthly production goals around Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery and Productivity
Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible, as well as all employees in the plant, through active engagement in safety activities and provides clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations
Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback.
Identifies and coordinates additional training of production staff.
Utilizing support from maintenance staff, evaluates and determines the best action to safely maintain the best possible mechanical performance of the department.
Provides leadership in the continuous improvement process utilizing lean manufacturing concepts.
Engages employees in the continuous improvement process.
Responsible for accuracy of required administrative reports and record keeping.
Completes all other projects assigned by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma/GED – AA Degree Preferred
Eight (8) plus years’ experience in a manufacturing position with proven ability to deliver desired results.
Lean manufacturing and ISO experience strongly preferred.
