As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes; develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, welding processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, industrial robotics, and quality control standards.
YOUR IMPACT Analyze space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Improve existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes.
Define appropriate and economical process to manufacture a design.
Continuing process improvement including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Review engineering change orders and support design for manufacture and assembly.
Apply techniques to study manufacturing system.
Project Management.
Define plant and process layouts.
Determine capital equipment requirements.
Experience with fixture and tooling design.
Develop measurement systems using portable CMM machines and gauges.
Evaluate measurement data to improve and control manufacturing processes.
All other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned by the employer or its designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field Internship experience or 6 plus months related work experience STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS SME Certified Manufacturing Engineer Computer Aided Design (CAD) Solidworks Proficient with Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints tools WHY OSHKOSH Moving the future forward is our priority and this includes your future.
