Slate Roofer - 554

he Tradesmen Group, LLC is seeking skilled, experienced, slate roofers who bring at least 2 years of experience working with natural slate roofing along with associated metal & copper flashings & counter flashings for work on projects in Washington DC and Nashville/Chattanooga TN areas.
Proud to be a 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP), TTG is a full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company, self-performing multiple trades including all aspects of slate/tile/sloped roofing, flat roofing & historic masonry restoration, architectural metal works, custom carpentry, painting, concrete, & more.
Primary duties * Remove existing roofing system and associated items per plans/specs with roof crew * Install & maintain temporary dry-in conditions at all times with roof crew * Install new underlayment per plans/specs with roof crew * Layout and install new or salvaged slate per plans/spec with roof crew * Install flashing & counter flashing per plans/spec with roof crew * Replace damaged and broken slate * Daily cleanup with the roofing crew * Rigging and setup of scaffold for safe roof access * Maintaining safety & fall protection Essential Skills & Employment Criteria: * Trained & experienced in roof demolition/removal * Trained & experienced in roof temporary dry-in procedures * Trained & experienced in the application of natural slate roofing * Ability to work independently when needed without direct supervision and remain on task * Knowledge of power tools, general construction equipment, roofing, basic sheet metal, and basic carpentry is required * OSHA 10 hr training is required prior to job start * Ability to pass a security clearance TTG offers: * Industry-leading pay according to skill and experience level * Opportunity for advancement * Paid training for advancement * Benefits include paid vacation, health insurance, and more *When you join the TTG Team of skilled craftsmen, you’ll enjoy a top industry pay *& a benefits package including employee-owned equity sharing thru the company employee stock ownership plan, paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance.
