com! PRIMARY FUNCTION This entry-level position provides engineering support to complete assigned engineering projects in accordance with specifications, schedule, and budget and coordinates activities of stakeholders, engineering team, and outside entities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES Monitors process equipment and operations and implements improvements in tooling design, production processes, quality, safety and housekeeping.
Provides production department with engineering support as necessary to maintain and expand production capabilities (building and equipment).
Assessing the requirements for new products by liaising with the Sales department, customers, and others.
Institute measures to ensure that the prototyping practices yield desirable results.
Lead product development plan, schedule, perform process change qualification trials, create risk matrix, and place external supplier tooling requests.
Perform R&D trials for welded tubing and test prototypes produced as per specification and write a technical report with the detailed results, accurately recording the parameters/process challenges during the trials.
Provide technical support for welded tubing to other Neotiss manufacturing facilities.
Coordinates the development and implementation of processes and provides user training as necessary.
Develops and updates engineering drawings as required for machine tooling and plant equipment.
Tests alternative techniques and methods to improve productivity, quality or safety; recommends changes to procedures or equipment as necessary.
Participates in training sessions, seminars, and continuing education to stay abreast of new technical developments.
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and teamwork skills Auto CAD and/or Solidworks, SAP and general computer skills Familiarity with PLC software, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, FMECA Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Equivalent Education required, knowledge of heat transfer ideal Experience Required: One to two years' experience in manufacturing environment Preferred:Three to five years’ experience in manufacturing environment Equipment Used: Essential: Auto CAD and/or Solidworks, personal computer skills, Microsoft Office ACCOUNTABILITY Responsible for providing engineering support for implementing and improving manufacturing processes.
