Holston Hills Country Club is seeking golf course maintenance team members who are interested in working in an upscale private golf club environment.
We are looking for individuals, who are naturals at highly precise work, enjoy being outdoors, working in an active team environment, and managing specialized and task-oriented work.
Applicants must be able to spend the majority of the day outside working on the course doing multiple jobs such as walk mowing greens, raking bunkers, general course maintenance, etc.
Under supervision of the assistant superintendent, you will perform work involving the use of various types of hand tools and gas-powered equipment.
A background in golf maintenance or landscaping would be helpful but is not required.

Built in 1927 the Clubs Donald Ross designed course has continually been ranked as not only one of the top courses in the state of Tennessee, but is even ranked on a national level.
The Course has hosted numerous golf championships throughout its rich history at the State, Regional, and National level.
Currently we are the host Club for the Visit Knoxville Open on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Responsibilities:
Overview
The equipment operator, under supervision of the assistant superintendent or foreman, performs work involving the use of large equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks and other maintenance equipment.
Work duties include:
Operates hand mowers, riding mowers, string trimmers on and around greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and rough etc.
Raking, weeding, edging bunkers
Grounds maintenance work such as: soil prep, seeding, sodding, cart path grading, irrigation installation and repair, hand watering, grounds clean up.
Course setup for golfers: moving tees, changing hole locations, cleaning course accessories
Mowing tees and fairways with riding and walking mowers.
Filling of divots on course and practice facilities
Trimming irrigation heads

Typical hours we work daily:
Monday 6:30am – 3:00pm
Tuesday – Thursday 6:30am– 2:00pm
Friday - 6:30a.
m.
to 12:00pm.
Saturday - Sunday 6:00am to 10:00am
As a Full-time staff member you are not working every day of the week, this schedual is just to show the hours the crew is normally on the property working.

Special Requirements:
Must be self-motivated, reliable and willing to take oral and written directions
Should possess physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform the above tasks
Must have reliable transportation to work along with state issued driver’s license and show up on time every scheduled
Must be willing to work weekends as required to prepare the golf course for play
Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous golf course, landscape and/or horticulture experience preferred, but not required
Salary Range: USD $14.
