What You'll Do
The Mission Systems and Integration Senior Manager reports to the Director of Mission Systems and Integration and is accountable for the successful execution of asset management strategies and maintenance activities for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities within their purview.
Specific responsibilities: Primary duty is the management of a customarily recognized department or subdivision thereof, and includes duties, such as: interviewing, selecting, and training employees; accountable for setting and adjusting pay and work hours; maintaining and increasing productivity and organizational goals; appraising employee productivity and/or grievances; disciplining employees, and planning and apportioning work among employees.
Cultivates a team atmosphere to achieve established targets and goals for the maintenance function and asset management principals supporting the nuclear and non-nuclear facilities assigned to their purview.
This includes management duties required to maintain the facility’s safety envelope and work environment for assigned hazardous facilities to ensure compliance with established policies.
Directs, manages, and leads verification/validation of the asset management implementation strategies and applicability for nuclear work control documents as required by DOE 422.

Manages maintenance execution activities across assigned areas of the Y-12 Site adhering to DOE O 433.
1B, Maintenance Management Program for DOE Nuclear Facilities.
Accountable for the development of policies and documents for training and qualification requirements for each specific high hazard nuclear supervisor and craftsman/technician that will execute high hazard and/or nuclear work control strategies on assets that affect operability of high hazard and/or nuclear facilities.
Candidate must have prior experience in high hazard and/or nuclear facilities and a thorough knowledge of DOE order 422.

Determines programmatic objectives and requirements, and recommends policy/procedural alignment and improvements as they pertain to efficient asset management implementation strategy for equipment and systems in a high hazard nuclear environment.
Manages productivity initiatives to maximize employee involvement in adherence to established organizational milestones.
Sets safety expectations and ensures compliance with all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws.
Establishes organizational goals and objectives.
Communicates goals, priorities, and performance expectations; monitors progress; and provides feedback to all assigned personnel as a means of continuous improvement.
Leads, manages, and directs development of short range and long range budgetary plans for high hazard nuclear supervisors, craft/technicians, equipment, critical spares, etc.
and analyzes the impact of budgets and requests required funding/schedule changes to ensure mission delivery.
Possess outstanding people skills, with the ability to energize, organize, coordinate, lead, and manage the capacity assurance teams.
Resolves cost, schedule, and/or resource conflicts including overtime approval and monitoring.
Conducts oral and written presentations with customers and other internal and external stakeholders.
