The Limb Preservation Center of East Tennessee is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our new, state-of-the-art wound care center located in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
LPCETN offers comprehensive chronic wound evaluationand treatment under one roof.
Patients rely on the team for expert care of nonhealing surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, radiation burns, and amputations.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, wound debridement, and other specialized and innovative wound care methods are available.

*Duties:*
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Coordinate and facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and ordering supplies.
- Care for patient's surgical incisions, any pressure sores or any wounds caused from disease or injury
*Education:*
Licensed Practical Nurse
*Requirements of the Wound Care Nurse LPN:*
* Current LPN license from the State of Tennessee
* Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred
* BLS Certification (Preferred)
* Wound Care experience not required
* Personable and professional with residents, families, and staff
* Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
* Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:*
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with patients, patient families and physicians in a tactful and professional manner.
-Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects to maintain workflow as a medical assistant.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
-Ability to perform basic computer skills.
-Ability to act quickly in emergency situations.
-Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information to assure resident rights are protected, including the right of refusal.

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday.

-EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
-Clinical: 1 year (Preferred)
-Wound care (Preferred)
-Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant or similar health care experience.
