*PURPOSE*
To provide excellent patient customer service with specific focus on courtesy, efficiency, knowledge and confidentiality.
*DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES*
* Serve as receptionist in accordance with written appointment and patient record policies.
* Execute billing, filing, typing, medical records and appointments in accordance with written policies.
* Perform all clerical tasks as specified in clinic or office policies and/or as directed by the supervisor, including payment collection at time of service.
* Keep medical records in accordance with the written medical records policy.
* Answer telephone, accurately take messages, and schedule appointments.
* Assist patients in completing forms.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*EDUCATION REQUIRED*
High school graduate or vocational high school graduate or high school equivalency.
*LICENSES REQUIRED*
None
*EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED*
Should be able to comprehend established office routine and regulations, learn quickly from oral and written instructions; possess ability to keep simple financial records and perform simple mathematical tasks.
Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally with clients, coworkers, and members of management.
Excellent professional customer service skills required.
Fluency in English, written and oral, is required.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
