The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for part time adjunct instructors teaching physical science courses on the Tennessee Campus.
Applicants should submit the following: *Initial Application*: The following materials should be submitted.
* Cover Letter * Curriculum Vitae * Responses to the School of Arts and Sciences essay prompts (below).
Each essay should be approximately 250-500 words.
1.
Describe your personal faith and Christian experience, including what you consider to be the most significant implications of your faith commitments? 2.
State your understanding of the relationship of biblical perspectives and faith commitments to your scholarly discipline.
3.
Provide a statement of your teaching philosophy, and how it relates to instruction in the undergraduate liberal arts core of a Christ-centered university.
*Documents Required for Semi-finalist Candidates*: * Official Transcripts * 3 Professional References, including complete contact information and statement of relationship to candidate.
* Evidence of experience and excellence in teaching.
(Student evaluations, letter of recommendation, etc.
) * A signed Statement of Faith and community covenant.
*General Job Description: * * Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course material.
* Provide timely feedback/ grades to students and University Registrar.
* Maintain regular office hours.
*Knowledge and Skills Requirement* * A Christian faith and support for Johnson University’s mission and values.

in Physics, Chemistry or related field * Develop and deliver laboratory exercises that support physics instruction.
