The Admissions Office functions on a management team concept with the Chief Admissions Officer as head of the team, with each member carrying full responsibility for their defined area.
Each area supports and encourages one another, yet in a real sense, it is a separate entity.
Job Summary: The Graduate Admissions Recruiter's responsibility is to represent Johnson University on and off campus.
Under the guidance of the Chief Admissions Officer, the Graduate Admissions Recruiter for Online Programs works as part of a team to enable the Office of Online Programs and the Office of Admissions to meet their online program enrollment goals.
The Graduate Admissions Recruiter manages all enrollment aspects of online programs and certificates at the graduate level.
Enrollment aspects include but are not limited to recruitment, application processing, evaluating applications, and working with the University's communications office in implementing marketing initiatives.
The position serves as the primary point of contact for online graduate students throughout the admissions process at Johnson University while working on the Tennessee campus.
*Duties and Responsibilities:* *Graduate and Online Admissions Recruiter* * Strong commitment to the mission and core values of Johnson University * Ability to build relationships with students, campus community, community partners, businesses, and church constituents is vital to the success of this role.
* Recruit students to Johnson University's online graduate programs by actively seeking out potential students.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned online prospective students and applicants.
Utilize a variety of channels to communicate with assigned students.
These channels include in-person contact, email, telephone, texting, video-conferencing, and other forms of communication.
* Respond to any communication (emails/phone calls/texts) quickly and professionally.
* Advise prospective students and applicants regarding their application and enrollment at Johnson University * Process and maintain applicant paperwork and applicant files.
* Communicate regularly with prospects and applicants, documenting all communication.
* Evaluate application files and recommend the final decision to the Chief Admissions Officer and Program Director.
* Maintain strong knowledge of all Johnson University academic programs and keep current with program updates.
This includes a thorough understanding and use of admission criteria necessary to guide students through recruitment, admission, and enrollment.
* Compile reports of recruitment activities and other regular updates of assigned student populations throughout the year.
This includes but is not limited to information for Trustee reports and beginning and end-of-the-year reporting.
* Plan and organize travel to recruitment events as necessary.
* Coordinate faculty recruitment visits to other college campuses as necessary * Support the department by organizing and hosting graduate admissions informational and recruitment events.
* Develop strategic initiatives and creative ways to reach prospective students.
* Maintain monthly recruitment goals and provide reporting as requested.
* Coordinate updates and inventory for promotional materials and displays.
* Support marketing, communication, and enrollment strategies by coordinating initiatives with program directors.
* Maintain enrollment communication flow content for prospective students and update regularly.
* Maintain high visibility and build awareness of Johnson University in appropriate industries.
*Qualifications* * A bachelor's degree is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
* Must have excellent public speaking and strong written and verbal skills to support relationship-building with prospective students and constituents.
* Discretion and good judgment are essential as the admissions counselor reviews sensitive admission materials and communicates policy and procedure.
* Ability to manage in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while prioritizing work daily.
* Ability to resolve problems and develop relevant alternatives and recommendations.
* Excellent customer service * A high level of accuracy and organization is required.
Attention to detail is imperative.
* Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Efficient and accurate use of Microsoft applications *Work Schedule* * Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.
