Job Summary: This position is an integral part of the academic support team and provides a broad scope of indirect management and academic leadership for campuses and the administrative support staff.
This position is responsible for direct supervision of the Learning Solutions Managers; including performance expectations, hiring, performance improvement initiatives, and general oversight of activity.
Also, participates in the development and modification of policies and procedures for the education departments within the institution.
Ensures faculty and student surveys are completed timely and appropriate feedback is disseminated to campus and administrative support staff.
Maintains an accurate list of textbooks and supplies for each program; and works with subject matter experts to update course content/curriculum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversight of Learning Solutions Managers o Direct supervision of Learning Solutions Managers, including performance metric requirements.
o Responsible for maintaining the Learning Management Software and digital learning solutions within the college.
• Maintain student satisfaction survey resource and classroom observation tools.
o Set faculty performance expectations for student surveys and observations as a scorecard and provides data to executive team for review.
o Regularly sends end of course surveys and instructor engagement reports to the executive team and campus administrative staff to review.
o Communicates with underperforming faculty and campus leadership to ensure performance plans are in place and monitored.
o Provide a tracking resource to monitor the results by instructor by campus.
• Manages New Faculty Orientation process and annual Faculty Refresher Training.
• Maintain system wide student survey tools.
• Evaluate faculty credentials for course instruction assignments and assist with monitoring of professional development activities.
• Maintain textbook and supply list and coordinates with vendors and internal departments regarding updates or modifications.
• Assist with preparation of Renewal of Accreditation visits, Self-Evaluation Reports, and commission responses.
• Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and operates at all times within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific subject matter areas under his or her administrative guidance.
• Review activity reports to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises those objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
• Maintain professional and effective working relationships with all other Company personnel.
• Conduct his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Company.
• Perform the job remotely with onsite/travel to campuses as required.
Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required.
Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.
• Acts as the Provost in his/her absence.
Job Requirements Education: • A Masters degree or equivalent; a terminal degree in education preferred.
Experience: • More than five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
