*Position Description * The primary purpose of this role is to obtain, and maintain, approvals for continuing education courses across the country.
This is full-time 40 hours per week position during typical business hours in an office environment: 8AM-430PM Monday-Friday.
This hourly position will play a crucial role on RocketCert’s education team.
The job title is “Continuing Education Coordinator”.
The employee will report to the Education Director.
Some tasks will vary day-to-day, and some tasks will need to be completed daily.
There will be some customer service responsibilities during peak times, so the applicant needs to be personable and patient.
*Additional Responsibilities* * Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email when needed.
* Fill out and send course rosters to state boards daily.
* Keep courses approved and compliant.
* Assist in the planning and implementation of projects.
* Plan strategies for streamlining and improving business operations.
* Comparing the company’s products and services to competitors to assess competition.
* Performing any other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
*Example Projects May Include * * Updating course lessons to match new editions of books * Review contractor exam bulletins and update courses * Explaining or teaching basic construction concepts to students * Create a quiz to test students' knowledge of a specific document * Highlight a textbook * Update tabs for a new book edition * Make a course outline * Write lesson review questions *In First Week, Expect To: * * Participate in orientation * Receive the Office Tour * Meet the team * Know RocketCert’s organization chart * Introduction to company policies and expectations * Crash course on customer service *In the Two Weeks, Expect To: * * Take the Intro to our Learning Management Software * Take the Intro to HTML * Know your coworkers and their roles/responsibilities * Know how to or who to tell to fix typos on the website * Know your roles/responsibilities * Assist almost any customer * Know company policies and expectations * Read the required book * Learn popular testing companies * Know state license requirements for contractors in at least our 4-5 most popular markets *In the First Month, Expect To * * Submit rosters daily * Resolve mistakes with roster submissions * Know what is required and how to get a contractor's license in Virginia, Tennessee, Arizona, Oregon, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Florida.
* Recognize these acronyms: ANSI, CSL, DPOR, DOPL, TDLR, PSI, ICC, NEC, IFGC, IRC, IAPMO, ProV, NFPA, ROC, HIC * Know the basics of iSpring software * Assist almost any customer without help * Know when to use templates instead of developing from scratch * Be familiar with Bloom’s Taxonomy * Renew a course * Apply for a new course * Know state license requirements for contractors or how to find them in all markets *In the First Three Months, Expect To * * Fix typos in courses * Upload new lessons/quizzes to the website * Know the quiz system * Know the iSpring software capabilities * Apply to state licensure boards for new course approvals * Develop a plan for keeping courses active * Make/edit certificates of completion * Know Bloom’s Taxonomy and use it * Compare RocketCert products and services to competitors to assess competition * Enter a new online continuing education market *Requirements * * Bachelor's degree in education, business, or related program * Organized and professional demeanor * Knowledge of software programs: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Meticulous * Dependable * Strong communicator * Patience when dealing with students of varying abilities and backgrounds Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38,000.
