Position: Fourth Grade Teacher Reports to: RCA Principal, Sheena Hill Purpose: To educate and inspire multiple students in a way that is most effective for them.
At RCA, academics and spiritual growth through education are equally important.

-Isaiah 54:13 Job Description: * Using a variety of teaching methods to exceed the developmental and academic standards set by the state and RCA * Providing opportunities for teaching foundational life skills and biblical life application * Planning comprehensive curriculums that facilitate students’ cognitive, social, and emotional development.
* Submitting lesson plans, classroom requests, and time-off requests for approval by set deadlines * Encouraging social-emotional development through opportunities that build self-esteem and social interactions and assisting students in resolving conflicts with others.
* Engaging in daily creative methods of learning, such as art and storytelling.
* Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom through biblical characteristics.
* Monitoring free time on the playground.
* Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
* Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
* Communicating with parents to better understand the whole child and their home lives.
* Writing up reports for parents on each child’s developmental progress.
* Acknowledging the whole child: developmentally, academically, and spiritually.
* Addressing situations with students with a Christ-like method and solution in mind.
* Keeping a professional attitude with parents, peers, and supervisors.
* Ability to be a team player when it comes to every student, event hosted by RCA, or task requested.
* Incorporating biblical education and life application daily.
* Study and become familiar with kindergarten entrance and exit requirements and use these requirements as a goal for each student.
* Prayer is foundational and vital to our relationship with Jesus.
We will have the opportunity to educate our students on the power of prayer daily.
Experience and Knowledge: * Passion and calling for educating children * Christ-like servant attitude * Education in teaching or areas of study applicable to pre-kindergarten, kinder prep, and elementary education * Experience in a classroom setting * Knowledgeable in state developmental and academic standards for appropriate age group * CPR certified or willing to obtain CPR certification upon hire * Highschool diploma with experience in a classroom setting and * Degree in education or early childhood education and development * Experience working with children * Exemplifies the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) * Positive meditation and nurturing abilities * Creative mindset with an ability to create memorable lessons * Passion for shaping and inspiring young minds * Ability to serve as a positive role model * Knowledgeable in the Word in order to create and teach biblical lessons * Proficient computer skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $30,000.
