John Neumann Catholic School is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Dean of Students for our PreK-8th grade school.
As the Dean of Students, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for our students.
Responsibilities: Student Support and Guidance: Provide leadership in promoting a positive school culture, emphasizing our Catholic Faith respect, responsibility, and safety.
Work closely with students, teachers, and parents to address any behavioral or academic challenges.
Discipline Management: Implement and enforce school policies regarding student behavior, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies for maintaining a positive and disciplined Catholic learning atmosphere.
Crisis Intervention: Be a point of contact for students facing challenges, whether academic, social, or emotional.
Provide support and intervention as needed, working closely with the faculty.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Foster strong relationships with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Keep open lines of communication to address challenges, provide updates on student progress, and engage the community in school activities.
Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in student discipline, mentoring, and student support services.
Provide training and professional development opportunities for teachers and staff on effective classroom management.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Administration Previous experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
Strong understanding of child development and behavior management strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators.
Commitment to fostering a positive Catholic school culture.
