Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Truck Driver to join our team.
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations using heavy equipment such as flatbed, tractor-trailers, and dump truck.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Having heavy equipment knowledge is a plus.
Would need to load own materials at times.
Work will be year-round, and overtime is available.
A higher pay is negotiable with a more seasoned driver.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump truck
- Load and unload goods and materials onto trucks using forklifts or other appropriate equipment
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured before transportation
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols and transportation guidelines
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as flatbeds, tractor-trailer, and dump truck
- Familiarity with load/unload procedures and securing cargo for transportation
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
- Strong communication and customer service skills
