*Job description*
The truck driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the shipping and receiving operations.
You will operate a company delivery truck, load and unload freight for deliveries to local customers.
Position requires Class A commercial drivers' license.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Operate company-owned and leased trucks Class B & Class A vehicles to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
* Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of materials.
* Perform required before-, during- and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
* Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
* Operate all MHE.
* Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
* Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
* Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
*Tasks:*
* Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
* Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
* Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
* Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
Skill Requirements:
* *Transportation* — Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
* *Customer and Personal Service* — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
* *English Language* — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
* *Lifts* — Hand lifts; Hydraulic lifts; Johnson bars

*Education Requirements:*
* 2 or more year(s) of experience as truck driver.
* A valid, Class A CDL License.
* Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
* Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
* Must pass DOT physical, criminal check, clearinghouse query and drug screen.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Clean appearance.
* Must be familiar with local and surrounding areas.
