We are seeking a Culinary Senior Team Lead for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

The right Culinary Senior Team Lead checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
The Senior Team Lead will assist in the successful and profitable operation of assigned Dollywood Theme Park Foods Division units by identifying and implementing goals and policies set forth by The Dollywood Company, as well as the local Health Department, through supervision of employees.
These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist Operations Managers in providing creative leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of assigned foods locations, host advocacy, and development Lead, mentor, engage, and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including assessing, coaching, and managing performance Perform timely evaluations of direct reports Responsible for assisting in the successful and profitable operation of multiple assigned units, including but not limited to revenue driving and expense management by maintaining inventory levels and budgets (expense controls with food costs, labor, and functional supplies) Conduct daily safety and sanitation audits to ensure appropriate Dollywood, Start Fresh, Sevier County Health Department, and ServSafe procedures are followed so that we maintain a safe environment for all hosts and guests Ensuring adequate staffing to provide appropriate line speed for their unit(s) Employees must be available and willing to work at different locations on park Knows, understands, & enforces the use of the “Start Fresh” program when necessary Training and Developing of Team Lead (s) and Assistant(s) for succession planning purposes Maintain proper staffing for sales volume, weather, and attendance Establish and maintain food quality guidelines, including but not limited to: holding times, following recipes and portion procedures, safe operating of equipment, and ordering, storing, and rotating food properly Developing and maintaining cleaning schedules for assigned unit, ensuring all Dollywood safety policies and procedures are maintained Be a host advocate by living out the Leading with Love principles and being a servant leader Ability to utilize customer service skills to resolve guest opportunities as they arise, but also to establish procedures to prevent future opportunities from occurring Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work Must be self-motivated and disciplined Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information Must display and live out Lead with Love qualities by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable Must be committed to continuous improvement Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene Must promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers Must adapt to changes easily Must enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment Must show appreciation to others Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to take action to meet their needs within company guidelines Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills Must reflect Dollywood’s core values through the lens of dignity and respect Able to endure high levels of stress caused by a fast paced job Ability to delegate to employees and ensure follow up Management reserves the right at any time to change or add to these duties.
Education and Experience Required Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age A minimum of 4 years of Food Service experience A minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience Must be able to pass ServSafe Manager Certification Program Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Must have a valid driver’s license and current insurance Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screen Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to display and live out Lead with Love Qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being: patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable Able to hear, see, speak, read, and write in English Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods Able to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflicts Able to comprehend instructions and retain information Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays Able to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy Able to lift up to 35 pounds Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation Able to endure temperatures of 0 to 140 degrees.
