1st and foremost: Team Player 2nd: ability to multitask different Event needs with an additional focus for Bartending as we are a Boutique Hotel with Events and Activities Center 3rd: looking for a great fit and open mind to understand how a growing start up company works - seeing the Vision! 4th: This has a huge focus on bartending but not the hours upon hours of seeing inventory and such.
Making fabulous drinks is a huge plus, knowing how to upsell drinks to guests on property and engaging with them is another.
But this isn't your typical Bar Manager position where that is all you would be doing!! *JOB PURPOSE* This position is responsible for all duties associated with the events and bar setups for the Village including but not limited to setup, tear down, food service to onsite and overnight guests, including but not limited to: linens, napkins, setup tables and chairs, event areas and rooms, water service, prepping plated dishes, maintaining a buffet, bussing, room delivery, clean up and washing dishes and tear down after events.
Our Bars serve Signature Cocktails, a variety of Beers and Wines.
Our Bartending Leads are assigned to be sure that the bars onsite are taken care of with the Guest Services Event Team including prior, during and after event serving, garnish prep and bar clean up, cocktail drink creations, ordering and inventory and management.
This position should have a current ABC Liquor License.
They will follow all the laws set forth by the State of TN regarding serving alcohol, wine, and beer.
*JOB DUTIES* * Willingness to accept the most effective role at any given time during, prior or after the event.
* Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcoholic beverage control policies.
* Greeting and taking care of guest’s onsite needs .
* Friendly and outgoing to help increase bar sales * Transmits orders to bar by recording guests’ choices, identifying special dietary needs and special requests.
* Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
* Serves orders by picking up and delivering guests orders from the bar.
* Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs, observing dining process.
* Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
* Concludes dining experience by thanking the guest and inviting them to return.
* Cleaning up and breaking down areas after an event.
* Bartending - preparation of drinks * Cleaning up and breaking down bar or beverage areas after an event.
* Communication within the team to understand needs and timeline to meet event requirements.
* Manage the in-room amenities, welcome letters and gift baskets for each guest stay.
* Work as a Guest Services Event team.
Understanding and encouraging all of the team is needed and important at all times.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * Must be flexible regarding scheduling as it is based on business demands.
(Will need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays at different times) * Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen.
* ABC Liquor License for Tennessee * Understanding of ordering and liquor inventory *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time as needed.
* Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
* Must be able to work both inside and outside at times * We are an Outdoor Event Venue with Weather Controlled Areas (both HVAC and Heat) but being prepared to work in a beautiful outdoor setting for some events.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
00 - $19.
