Christian men and women staff members are given the unique opportunity to serve children in poverty through this week-long day camp.
Step out of your comfort zone to use your talents to impact children’s lives in a positive way through leading small groups.
Spend the summer surrounded by other Christians with the same goal as you: to bring the love of Christ into the lives of children.

Most staff members will need to arrive on Sunday, May 26, 2024 for the beginning of staff training.
When does camp finish? The last day for summer staff will be Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Will I get time off? Staff members are off from late Friday afternoon after the camp session ends until we get back together for the next session on Sunday afternoon.
Can I be gone during the summer? Any time off must be approved prior to the start of the summer and is discouraged.
Is this a paid position? Yes.
Our staff are paid, and receive meals and housing as well.
Will I be provided with housing? During each week of camp, the church we are hosting with provides housing for our staff.
We will also have weekend housing available for staff who need that option.
Is transportation included, or will I need to drive myself to each site? Each Sunday our staff will meet at Camp in the Community at the Bungalow (101 Pinedale St.
Maryville, TN 37804) and depart from there.
Our staff will be taken to each site, and will not need to provide their own transportation.
Will I get training? Prior to the first camp session, staff members take part in two weeks of training.
The training includes a wide range of topics from child development to leadership.
There will also be weekly training throughout the duration of the summer.
What do you expect at a Christian camp? We ask that you be a person of Christian faith who is willing to share your faith with campers.
Also, it is expected that you live a Christian lifestyle and serve as a role model during your time working at camp.
What if I am not from the United Methodist Church? We welcome staff members from a variety of faith backgrounds, though we are a ministry of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Who will I work with? Our camp is a team effort between our Director, summer staff, church volunteers, and youth development program participants.
Our summer staff is primarily college students from around the country.
