The *Health, Safety & Well-being Quality Coach *will provide training, technical assistance, and support to child care providers and CCR&R Quality Coaches.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a difference for Tennessee’s children by helping child care providers increase their knowledge of what is necessary to maintain healthy and safe environments within child care programs.
Additionally, you will support child care providers through training and coaching in child development and how to utilize developmental screening tools.
The *Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children *will also be used to assist child care providers in promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5.
This person will be based from a home office environment, work remotely, and travel frequently.
Significant local travel to surrounding counties is required.
Overnight travel is also required to attend training and meetings within the state.
Regular use of a personal vehicle and maintenance of personal auto insurance in accordance with TN state law is required.
Travel expenses will be paid in accordance with established state rates.

This position is part of the statewide Child Care Resource & Referral Network in Tennessee.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, child development, social and emotional child health, public health, health education, health promotion, child nutrition, and/or health administration.
* Knowledge of health, social, and emotional issues specific to children ages 0-60 months.
* Knowledge of TN Quality Rating and Improvement System, DHS licensing requirements, Developmental Screening tools, the CSEFEL Pyramid Model, and the professional development system for child care providers in TN.
* Experience facilitating large and small group training for adults and providing one-on-one coaching.
* Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to work well independently.
* Must work well in a collaborative environment.
