POSITION SUMMARY:
_The Loan Auditor position exists to partner in a team environment to process, audit, and fund loans financed with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc.
Perform purely administrative tasks surrounding loan processing and do not negotiate or advise credit terms with consumers.
_
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Processes a large volume of online paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
* Analyzes loan documents to verify information matches approval, verify documents are signed and dated, prevent fraud, and verify loan file is complete with regards to the company, state, and federal standards.
* Communicates to Home Centers and customers on what items are required to fund the loans.
* Completes all notary closings to get with customer to mail or email all closing documents to customers.
* Ensures all money is dispersed correctly and balanced for reporting purposes.
* Evaluates placement surveys to ensure homes are set up correctly and on the right property based on site plans.
* Communicates with Home Centers and Title companies on fixes and changes to loan packages ensuring compliance.
* Addresses changes from Home Center to ensure flood is updated.
* Maintains knowledge of all Loan Operation positions to fix other items that may get missed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent required, college preferred.
* Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.
* Knowledge of AS/400 a plus.
* Must be willing to work in a structured environment.
* Ability to work flexible hours is a must.
* Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email, and person to person.
* Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyzing causes, evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions on action to be taken.
* Preference for detail, conformity, and task orientation.
* Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
* Must have solid multi-tasking skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
* Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
* 90% communication methods completed over email.
* Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
* Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
* Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
