General Responsibilities: Provide responsible administrative assistance to Director of Personnel and Payroll.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan an accomplish goals.

Essential Functions: 1.
Various word processing and statistical reports.
2.
Attend and take minutes of any designated meetings.
3.
Maintain all personnel information (i.
e.
, PAF’s, insurance, benefit accrual, etc).
4.
Provide security for all personnel records of all employees.
5.
Compose and type correspondence.
6.
Process unemployment claims.
7.
Reconcile invoices for Co.
paid life insurance, medical and dental insurance.
8.
Maintain/update employee benefit accrual database.
9.
Research any questions that employees and facility administrative assistants may have regarding benefit accrual.
10.
Assist HR Director with processing company payroll every other week.
11.
In the absence of the HR Assistant, handle telephone employment references.
12.
Process salary verifications of employment.
13.
Run manual check report for Fiscal Services every other Monday before processing payroll.

Upon receiving payroll, run payroll reports for fiscal services and administrations.

Conduct New Employee Orientation for Outpatient, Hospital and Corporate employees 16.
Send Medical/Dental COBRA notices to Corporate, Hospital and Outpatient employees who are no longer eligible for group coverage.
17.
Send Company paid life insurance conversion notices to Corporate, Outpatient, and hospital unit employees who are no longer eligible for coverage.
18.
Send notices to courts for all terminated employees who have garnishments or wage withholdings.
19.
Send out 30-day benefit packets to eligible employees.
20.
Send out 180-day benefit packet to eligible employees.
21.
Send out 180-day trial period evaluations to supervisors as employees become eligible.
22.
Send out annual evaluations to supervisors as employees become eligible.
23.
Send out eligibility notices to employees for company paid life insurance.
24.
Send out vacation report to Vicki Kennedy with employees who have in excess to 120 hours of vacation.
25.
Process manual checks for payroll adjustments.
26.
In absence of HR Assistant, process pre-employment paperwork on new hires.
27.
Weekly telephone relief for the receptionist.
28.
Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-works, managers, clients and prospective clients.
29.
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job safely.
30.
Other duties as assigned.

Entry Level Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred with 2-4 years of Experience in the field or a related area.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office software programs and have word processing skills.
Must be familiar with a spreadsheet program.
Must have good communication and organizational skills.
Pleasant phone voice.

Must be able to see at 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).

Must be able to sit continuously for approximately 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
